Primal Possession: A dark Omegaverse Romance (Alphas of Sandor Book 1) Page 8
I can do this. They do this to all the Omegas in Sandor. If they can take it, I can, she told herself resolutely.
At first she barely heard the growl over the buzzing of the tattoo machine, but then Arius increased the volume at the same time as he increased the pressure of his fingertip on her clit. Saskia was unable to stifle a moan of pleasure. A spurt of slick slipped from her core and he paused to gather some, using it to lubricate his path as he rubbed her swelling, aching button. The sensations he was causing in her were so intense it took a moment for her to realize the tattooing had begun.
The sharp, steady scratching pain on her skin served only to heighten the feather-light caress of his slippery fingertip as it grazed her clit in slow, insistent circles.
Saskia found herself gripping Arius’s right forearm with her free hand, feeling the corded muscles beneath his skin move as he stroked her with deft precision. Unable—or unwilling—to look at what Margot was engraving into her flesh, she closed her eyes and focused instead on the way Arius was growling, the throbbing between her thighs.
It wasn’t long before she became aware of a new problem: even if Arius hadn’t given her the order, she didn’t dare move, not while the needle was steadily etching ink into her skin. But there was no way she could climax and remain completely still. And his fingertip was stroking her inexorably toward the point of no return, the deep pulses of pleasure thrumming faster and more insistently through her very core.
She tried to shift her hips slightly, suddenly conscious of the thick, hard length of Arius’s erection pressing against her backside and aching to feel it inside her. He, however, gave her no room to maneuver, pinning her in place with apparent ease.
“Arius,” she whispered, hoping that Margot wouldn’t be able to hear her over the noise of the gun and the Alpha’s deep growling. “Please stop… please, I can’t…”
He showed no signs of having heard her. Instead his fingertip kept moving with the steady, unceasing rhythm of a metronome.
Saskia’s toes began to tingle.
“Please,” she whispered again.
Arius was either ignoring her or he genuinely wasn’t hearing her pleas. Regardless, she realized she had no choice but to accept the inevitable—and do so without moving.
At first, she fought it, trying desperately to distract herself. She fixed her gaze on Margot, on the sharp, insistent scratch of the tattoo gun, trying to focus on the pain.
Her pussy contracted hard and she felt another gush of slick seep out. The pleasure was so intense, she bit back a gasp. The urge to clamp her thighs together was overwhelming but Arius’s broad, muscular legs held them apart, brooking no quarter.
He could hear her, she realized. He was just ignoring her. Refusing to cede to her requests. This was just another way of controlling her. Of showing her that she had no choice in anything anymore; that if he chose to splay her naked in front of a stranger and force her to climax while the symbol of her eternal subjugation was being etched indelibly, painfully into her skin, he would do so, and she had no option but to submit.
A white-hot wave of humiliation, helplessness and anger consumed her as she lost the fight to maintain her self-control and came, hard, into Arius’s relentless hand, her inability to move only increasing the unwanted—detested—waves of pleasure as they rolled through her very being, her empty, sodden sex snatching at thin air.
Chapter Eight
If there was one thing Arius loathed, it was feeling powerless. And ever since this pretty little brunette Omega had entered his life, every thread of control he had held so tightly in every aspect of his existence had either snapped, or was close to it.
The fragile status quo of the people of Sandor.
His ability to curb Deimos’s worst impulses.
His control over his own fucking body.
All because of this infuriating slip of a girl.
And so it was with relish that he ignored her whispered pleading for him to stop and forced her to orgasm, against her will and in front of Margot, who was very sensibly pretending not to notice. As a Facility employee, she had probably seen it all anyway.
And it was with even greater relish that, as soon as Margot announced that the tattoo was finished and had wiped the last of the excess ink from Saskia’s reddened skin, he picked the little Omega up, bent her over the table, and plunged his aching, throbbing cock into her slick-drenched cunt. When she cried out in protest—no doubt because Margot was still in the room, packing away her things—he clapped his hand over her mouth and fucked her harder.
He pounded himself into her with all the pent-up rage he felt, every smack of his pelvis against her soft ass bringing him one step closer to relief. He didn’t stop, didn’t falter, not when Margot had finished packing her things and slipped quietly out of the room; not when Saskia sank her teeth into his finger. Instead, he slapped her bare flank with his free hand, enjoying the way her soft flesh bounced under his palm, until she stopped biting and went limp, ceasing to struggle.
This allowed him to reach down and tear the tank top off her body—the short skirt was already rucked up around her waist—flinging the tattered garment aside and raking his nails roughly down her smooth, naked back.
Fuck her.
Fuck her.
She had disobeyed his family’s rule of law and he was unable to punish her for it, she had put herself in danger and now he had to contend with Deimos.
Arius felt the now-familiar swelling at the base of his cock, the telltale sign that the knot was about to form. Not wanting to be joined with her so intimately, he yanked himself out of her and spun her to face him.
Her aquamarine eyes were glazed, unfocused.
Stroking his slick-shiny cock, he pushed her back down across the table, her intoxicating scent and the sight of her bare, full tits enough to finish him off.
He let out a primal roar as the tingling in the base of his spine intensified, his balls tightened and he climaxed, the thick ropes of his cum spurting across her face, her breasts, her belly, marking her as his, humiliating her as he had intended… until she was glistening with his seed.
Only once the last drop had been wrung out of his throbbing, swollen member did he feel the tension seep out of his shoulders and arms. With a deep sigh of relief, he tucked himself back into his pants and turned away, not wanting to see the accusation or hurt in her beautiful eyes.
“You should shower,” he said brusquely, his back still to her, “and mind you don’t get that tattoo wet. I need to go and see someone. I’ll be back soon.”
He didn’t wait for a response. Striding to the door, he resisted the urge to slam it behind him.
Cerus, predictably, was waiting for him just outside.
“I assume you briefed the woman from the Facility?” Arius said curtly.
“Of course, Sire.”
“Good. Thank you for organizing that at such short notice. I’ll be back soon. Make sure she stays in there.” He indicated the door with a brief tilt of his head.
“Very well, Sire.”
Leaving the servant behind him, Arius strode down the maze of corridors, which connected the luxury apartments in which the richest and most powerful Alpha families resided.
With each step, he felt more remorse about his treatment of Saskia. She was going to be the mother of his children. She was his mate. And he had just used her like one would a cheap harlot. By the time he found himself outside Evander’s door for the second time that day, his emotions were all over the place. Resentment and anger warred with guilt and shame. It must have shown in his expression because his best friend opened the door, took one look at Arius, then made for the nearest wine bottle.
“Here,” he said simply, handing Arius a full glass.
Arius drained it in three long swallows before dropping into the nearest sofa. “The first step is done,” he said at length. “She has her tattoo.”
Evander regarded him curiously. “Is that why you look like you just choke
d on a lemon?”
Arius barked out a bitter laugh. “Believe it or not, I’m feeling ashamed of myself.” When Evander simply quirked an eyebrow in a silent bid for more information, Arius gave it to him, telling him about the events of that morning. “And then I just left her there,” he finished.
“Sounds hot.”
Arius glared at his best friend. “Save it. I’m in no mood for jokes.”
“All right, all right.” Evander raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. “Sorry.”
Pushing a stray lock of hair out of his face, Arius sighed. “How soon can we realistically organize an official claiming ceremony?”
“It depends on how big you want it to be. How public. How many guests. A royal wedding is always good for morale. And gods know the people of Sandor could do with a distraction.”
“If it were up to me, we wouldn’t have any witnesses at all. I’d simply claim her in the privacy of my own apartment and be done with it.” Arius eyed the wine bottle and Evander took the hint, getting up to refill his glass. “But I know it needs to be done… differently. Say the smallest ceremony we can get away with while still fulfilling royal duty and giving the Betas in Sandor their distraction.”
Evander shrugged. “I’m not an expert but I’m guessing a week, at least.”
“A whole week? For fuck’s sake, all I need to do is bite her!”
“A royal claiming ceremony is more involved than that. So many details to consider. The location, the guests and invitations, decorations, clothing, food and drink. Taking all that into account, a week is nothing. If I were you, I’d hire a professional event organizer.”
“Sounds like I’ll have to.” Arius leaned back on the sofa with a sigh. “And after what I just did to Saskia, I think I’ll also have to organize a professional mediator. I doubt she’ll ever speak to me again.”
“Of course she will. Gods, you’re Arius Sandorus! Becoming your mate will elevate her—a nobody—to the most respected and cherished Omega in the land! Not to mention how you’re letting her deception slide. She and her family broke the law and yet they will face no consequences. She should be licking your boots!”
Arius tried to picture that and felt the corners of his mouth lift. “I can’t see that ever happening.”
Evander frowned. “Don’t let her make you forget who you are. And don’t let the rut prevent you from carrying out your responsibilities.”
“Easier said than done.”
“I believe you, but as you said yourself, you don’t have the luxury of holing up with her and fucking until the heat wears off. You have a kingdom to help rule and a mad uncle to control.”
“What am I going to do about him? How am I going to keep him away from her until after the claiming? Especially now that he’s convinced he’s in rut himself.”
Evander stroked the russet stubble on his square jaw. “Get a servant to spike his drink with suppressants?”
Arius considered. While the royal family tended to share servants, he would trust Tavos or Cerus to do such a thing. Both had proven their loyalty over the years. And if Deimos’s claim was true and he was in rut, the suppressants would help curb the worst of his cravings for a woman—for Saskia. “I suppose it would be worth a try,” he said slowly. “The worst that could happen is that it makes no difference.”
“Do you have anyone you could task with delivering the medication on the sly?”
“I think so. Deimos only drinks the finest wine—and refuses to share it—so there’s no risk of us accidentally dosing the wrong person. But that still doesn’t solve the issue of the Betas. Are they really still close to a revolt?”
“I don’t know. But it wouldn’t surprise me.”
“I’ll need to think on it some more. My more pressing problem is how to handle my new mate once I return to our apartments.”
Evander shrugged. “Women are easy. Give her a gift. Something she wants. Is she inclined to nest yet?”
“I haven’t seen any signs.”
“Omegas crave comfort above everything else. Find out what comforts her—aside from your presence, of course—and give her that.”
“Her family,” Arius said. “She keeps talking about her family.”
“Well then, you have something to work with.”
“I suppose I do.”
Curled up on the bed in a fetal position, Saskia heard the door open and close and knew it was Arius even before his scent reached her nostrils.
Damn him.
As soon as he’d left, she’d gone into the shower and scrubbed herself raw, desperate to wash away the humiliation of what he’d done, to erase every last slippery trace of his seed from her skin.
How could he have done that? He’d been so cold, so brutal. Used her as if she were nothing more than a two-bit whore.
Even worse had been her body’s reaction. Even though he’d done nothing to pleasure her after that first mortifying orgasm in front of the tattooist, she had continued to gush and contract around his cock as he’d fucked her. Her traitorous body apparently had no regard for his treatment of her; even when he’d spun her around and ejaculated all over her chest—her face, for gods’ sake!—her clit had pulsed with desire and she’d ached for his knot.
How could she possibly enjoy being used in such a way?
She knew she should tread carefully. While he’d assured her there would be no official punishment for her deception, he was obviously still angry, and it would be beyond stupid to aggravate him further, possibly even push him to break his own promise. But she couldn’t bear to even look at him.
“Saskia.” His voice was low, subdued. Apologetic? She couldn’t tell. She remained where she was, her back to him, her knees drawn up to her chest. She’d once again put on his robe—he’d torn her top to shreds and the skirt was still covered in his seed.
“Saskia,” he said again. This time there was an edge of menace in his tone.
Closing her eyes against the sudden tears that prickled there, she hugged her knees tighter, unable to prevent the flinch when he approached the bed, sat down and placed a large hand on her hip.
“I wanted to apologize,” he said slowly.
Fuck you. She bit her lip and said nothing, the heat of his palm searing her skin even through the thick velvet of the robe.
“The rut…” he began, then sighed. “I’d like to make it up to you. If there’s anything you want, name it. It will be yours.”
I want to go home. I want to be free. I don’t want to stay here as your personal sex slave and breeding machine. Despite her best intentions, the tears slipped out between her closed lashes, rolling over the bridge of her nose and her temple into her hair. She tried to sniff them back. The hand on her hip began to move, caressing her slowly, and the way her belly clenched with desire despite everything goaded her into a reaction.
“You know what I want?” she snarled, sitting up and glaring at him. “I want to go home! I want to be free! I want to leave here. Leave you!”
The flicker of annoyance that crossed his features was to be expected. But she hadn’t anticipated the look of hurt that accompanied it. Immediately she felt sorry.
“I understand that this is difficult for you.” He spoke slowly, as if every word was an effort. “I was needlessly cruel this morning and I had no right to be. Which is why I’m apologizing, and came back here with every intention of making it up to you. Don’t make me regret that. Don’t push me.”
Saskia wanted to break her gaze, to look away from his piercing, iron-grey eyes, but found herself incapable of doing so. Her heart was pounding in her chest. “I’m sorry,” she muttered.
“Good. Don’t ask me for something I cannot give. You are an Omega, and the gods have chosen you to be my mate. That’s a reality neither you or I can escape.”
For the first time, she realized that in a way, he was as trapped as she was. He hadn’t asked to be born into the royal family any more than she’d asked to be born an Omega. Nor did he have any
more control over his hormones than anyone else, including her. For a brief moment, her sympathy outweighed her anger and she muttered, “I accept your apology.”
“That’s a start.” His full lips curved up into a smile of genuine relief and she felt an unwelcome, sudden surge of affection for him. “I can’t let you leave but I can have your family brought here to visit. Would that please you?”
She searched his eyes for a sign of deception but found none. Her heart stuttered with joy as it dawned on her that he might be speaking the truth. “Are you serious? You would do that?”
He pulled her against his huge, muscular chest and wrapped his arms around her before kissing her hair. “My sweet little Omega, I want you to be happy. I want us to be happy, together. If bringing your family here is something that will make you smile, it will be my pleasure to do so.”
“Thank you,” she whispered, her words muffled against his shirt. “I know we did wrong but still… I just disappeared. I never came home. They won’t know where I am, what happened to me. They’ll be so worried!” A sob burst from her chest and she began to weep, shaking in his arms, overcome with relief and sorrow.
“I’ll get a message to them at once, letting them know you’re safe. And I’ll have them brought here soon.” He stroked her hair tenderly, in a manner so at odds with his brusque, brutal treatment of her that morning.
“Thank you! I can’t thank you enough.”
“I need you to do something for me in return.” He pushed her far enough away that he could look into her eyes, stroking away her tears with his thumbs. “I need you to obey me in all things, Saskia. The situation at present is… delicate, and I cannot have you trying to escape. For your own safety, as much as anything else. If Deimos were to get hold of you once again, I can’t guarantee that I’ll arrive in time to rescue you.”
She was unable to suppress a shudder at the mere mention of that happening. “All right,” she said. “You have my word.”
